  Mini implants are generally used to support dentures that can be removed but were initially designed to provide temporary support as the wounds heal after a treatment for regular dental implants. They are cheaper but proved to be better and thus more favorable with their smaller diameters that allowed instant installation. faster implants mean faster teeth/dentures, allowing patients to leave in a shorter time compared to the several visits required for a regular implant.
  They have an o-ring that ,locks the denture in place with a cup installed onto the denture that locks through the o-ring. The whole assembly is small enough to allow the installation of several ones in one sitting thus lessening the treatment period. Traditional implants needed several treatments that required proper healing for them to succeed, any failure in the healing process can lead to failure thus increasing the risk for the patient.

   Mini implants today are preferred by many. It is an easy and fast procedure with good quality. Compared to traditional implants, it is more comfortable.
