What Could Possibly Go Wrong for Dental Implants
Filed under dental implantMar 1There are not too many issues that can go wrong with implants. Some complications may arise from this procedure but can be considered rare as they account for less than 5% of all dental treatments, and can usually be corrected. These problems may include: fracture or breaking of the implant; non-integration to the bone causing them to come out; infection or inflammation of the soft tissue or at times, the bone as a result of the placement; problem with the connection between implant and prosthesis; and, damage to the maxillary sinus, or the nasal cavity, and damage to the nerves in the lower jaw.
